Robert Drummond, president and CEO of NexTier said, "NexTier and Patterson-UTI each have proven track records of integrating businesses, and we're confident that combining through a merger of equals will enable us to leverage the strengths of both highly talented workforces and create exciting career opportunities for employees as we become a larger, more diversified platform." The new combined company will be headquartered in Houston, Texas. Patterson-UTI Energy also acquired Ulterra Drilling Technologies, L.P., a global provider of specialized drill bit solutions. The Ulterra business will continue to operate under the name Ulterra, and its headquarters will remain in Fort Worth, Texas. Bosch Rexroth Bosch Rexroth announced its president and CEO Gregory Gumbs is leaving the company. In the interim, Reinhard Schaefer, current Executive Board member, will join the North American Board to support the transition and identify the company’s next regional CEO.
