Additionally, every segment has the same unique design regardless of the reamer size. Covered by an international patent, this revolutionary reamer can increase penetration rates - up to 5 times faster than conventional methods. It also offers reaming up to 12 inches extra in diameter in one pass (e.g. 6-inch pilot to 18 inches). With less stress on the drill rig, lower torque is required and there is less vibration on the rods. No moving parts provides increased reliability. Best of all, you are able to drill clean holes with a consistant size. Designed with a taper and a spiral, it is one of the best reamers in the world. The taper helps to centralize the reamer in the pilot hole ensuring a symmetrical hole is cut. It also helps to equalize the size of the cut from side to side and enables you to ream from pilot to finish bore in the majority of holes. The spiral on the reamer helps to reduce chatter as well as reduce fluctuating torque. Replaceable cutter segments are supplied in kit form with everything needed to replace a segment. All cutter segments are interchangeable no matter which position they are required on the blade.
