This revolutionary versatile meter can be converted to a multifunctional instrument to measure static and falling head levels, determine the length of casing, and even well depth with its available accessories. Forget using a sensitivity dial, the Auto-Sense meter automatically filters out cascading water and includes an adjustable volume dial. This means just about anyone can be sent to take water level readings with confidence. Use static mode to measure the depth of water in a well, borehole, or pipes. The drawdown mode measures falling water levels during purging, well development, and low-flow sampling. Switching from water level mode to a well profiling mode is simple, just change the probe at the link connection with one of the following optional probes: Well Casing Indicator Probe - used to measure the depth of metal casing in wells and boreholes from two inches in diameter and up. It works using magnetism. While the probe sits within the magnetic field of the steel casing, an auditory and visual signal is active. When the probe leaves the magnetic field the signal stops. The well casing measurements are taken directly from the tape. Well Depth Indicator Probe (or bottom detector) - measures the full depth of wells and boreholes. This probe uses a pressure sensitive plunger to measure the distance to the bottom of the well. When the Well Depth Indicator Probe reaches the bottom of the well, the plunger enters the probe body closing a switch, initiating an audible and visual signal at the top of the well. The well depth reading is taken directly from the tape. With length options ranging from 100-1000 feet, the dipper-T Auto-Sense Meter gives you the flexibility to perform four functions with one unit.
