Yes, with all the sun’s rays ready to tan those who want to spend their days outside gardening, boating, fishing, on a cruise ship reading that favorite magazine (WorldWide of course), and dreaming of what great things you have for your company for the rest of the year. Sure you are. I bet you are saying to yourself, “How can I make this summer life continue?” With so many of you with plans for the summer already, you will notice there are not too many trade events happening during May, June, and July. So go ahead and take a break - I am referring to our hard-working sales reps who travel the world with the wares of the companies they represent. One cannot deny, we love to see those folks out on the trade show trail, but they too deserve a break every once in a while. So here is a “HATS OFF TO YOU” from all of us at WorldWide Drilling Resource, Inc. You are always in our hearts and prayers for your safety and that of your families and friends as well. We certainly appreciate your efforts. For the rest of us who enjoy the summer’s time sitting on the back porch after work with a cool drink, looking out over the scenery (mountains for some, lakeviews for others, and then some watching their children and grandchildren enjoying the pool), and don’t forget ever faithful “FIDO”, or our favorite cat, “SISTER KITTY”, who always wait patiently for us to get home night after night. It’s their time now too. OKAY - SNAP OUT OF IT! This is a great time to really plan what your next move is to improve our workplaces, increase our ever hard-to-find employees, and let the ones who have stood by us for so very long know how much we appreciate them and their efforts. It does take a village, a team, or whatever you want to call those who make the company move forward for the benefit of everyone at the company, as well as all our customers and acquaintances. Trust me, I know firsthand - - - and was told many years ago by our accountant Al Crippen while living in Gainesville, Florida, while he was sitting alone in his office, “Ronnie, I got upset and turned around and the only one in the office here was me. Just make sure as you go forward, you let everyone working for you know - they are actually working ‘with you’; and you will not turn around and be the only one in your office.” Good words to live by, from a very smart man. So, be sure as you go through your office, your shop, out on the jobsite, you stop and speak to those you work “with”, and let them know how much you care. YOU WILL SEE A SMILE COME ACROSS THEIR FACES - and that will MAKE YOUR DAY. SAY ~ Happy Mother’s Day to all our special mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts . . . maybe someone we know, and give them a reason to smile too.
