37 AUGUST 2025 WorldWide Drilling Resource® In Memoriam Ronald Edward “Ron” Kunstman (1944~2025) The family of Ronald Edward “Ron” Kunstman is deeply saddened to share the news of his passing on May 30, 2025, after a short illness. He was 81 years old. He was a legend - well-known and respected in the diamond drilling and exploration industry in British Columbia, Canada, for over 55 years. As owner of Extreme Products & Drilling Supplies and Talik Industrial Services, Ron created, advised, and supplied successful drilling programs and specialized equipment for both Canadian and worldwide companies. When shipping to extremely remote worksites in the Arctic, Greenland, South America, or even Africa, Ron's instructions were to always add a few magazines or newsletters to the boxes so the folks would have something to read in camp when they came off shift. His unique expertise will be sorely missed. Ron is survived by his wife Fay; son Scott (Sharleen); daughter Jenna (Kevin); brother Garry (Gail); as well as nieces, nephews, and their families in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, The Maritimes, Texas, and Hawaii. Michael Raymond Crowell (1952~2025) With sorrow, the Texas Groundwater Association announced the loss of member Michael Raymond Crowell on June 5, 2025. Born in Claude, Texas, he was a lifelong resident of the community he cherished deeply. A standout All-State football player in his youth, Michael shared his love for sports by coaching T-ball, leaving a lasting impact on many young athletes. He was instrumental in growing Crowell Water Well Service, a family business established in 1896, into one of the most respected and successful water well companies in Texas. Michael is survived by his devoted wife Annette; sons Douglas and Cash; daughters Laci and Anita; six grandsons; two granddaughters; and four great-granddaughters.
