Inadequate preventive measures can result in severe health issues, including heat exhaustion, heat stroke, and potential organ damage. Furthermore, studies indicate a correlation between heat exposure and a heightened risk of workplace injuries, including slips, trips, and falls. To ensure the safety of workers during the summer months, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) provides valuable resources for both employers and employees to effectively manage working conditions in extreme heat.
