36 MARCH 2025 WorldWide Drilling Resource® April 3-5, 2025 ~ The Alberta Water Well Drilling Association’s 66th Convention & Trade Show will be at the Red Deer Resort & Casino in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. The event starts Thursday at 8:30 a.m. with a technical session on grouting and sealing by CETCO®, followed by lunch, a Cotey Chemical Corp. seminar on well rehabilitation, Board of Directors Meeting at 6:30 p.m., then a wine and cheese reception. Friday has meetings for supplier, associate, and technical members in the morning, while the trade show is open from 8:30 a.m. until noon. The luncheon includes a guest speaker, awards, and a presentation for the best booth winner. Afternoon classes include topics of solar-powered water pumping systems, as well as Department of Transportation regulation changes. The trade show opens again at 7:00 p.m. for a sports themed evening of entertainment and award for “Best Dressed,” while viewing product displays and visiting with vendors. The first session annual meeting is Saturday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Vendor displays are open 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a raffle drawing at the start of the Grundfos technical session. The second session meeting wraps up the event from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. There’s also a silent auction with bidding starting Friday evening and closing at noon on Saturday. Each year, the SEDC event offers information about the latest new techniques and technologies while sharing tried-and-true methods for those in the drilling industry.
