The “Idiots” Corner by “Billy Bob Smith” Are stupid people (idiots) really that dumb, or do they just act that way for some crazy reason or agenda? Here are a few common actions they have or use that send a message to the people around them or society in general. But you know I love quotes, so here are three short ones: Here are what I feel are some of the reasons people act like idiots, and some examples: 2 Intention or a lack of action or follow-up. There are two types of intention or purpose - real intention and stated intention. What’s the difference? The real intention is you say you will do something, and you will do anything or everything you can to do it. Stated intention are just words like, “I’m going to lose 50 pounds in two months.” And you just keep eating and eating. 2 Define truth as what they feel, believe, or want you to think is real truth or what I refer to as personal truth. Real truth is universal. We are all going to die. Each day is 24 hours, etc. Personal truth is stuff you make up and convince yourself it is truth. 2 They are what I refer to as - hesitators. There are three types of people - committers, quitters, and hesitators. I’m sure you can figure out the difference between these three and their obvious actions. 2 Act like they are the smartest people in the room, but they don’t come close. Idiots and stupid people can come across as smart and intelligent, but put them to the test and all you will get is what I call their “personal blah, blah, blah.” 2 Keep talking about everything, even stuff they don’t have a clue about. These folks love to talk. I know, I used to be one of them. I finally realized I learned nothing while I was talking and not listening to myself and my own words. Idiots just keep on going, no matter what. 2 Tend to have low self-esteem, arrogance, or pride as a significant part of their personality. We all have some esteem issues we have to deal with now and then, but these folks will say anything, promise anything, or have you think they know everything. If you listen between the lines, the real hidden person in their personality will show up. 2 Don’t learn from mistakes and are never wrong. But they always have what they consider great excuses. 2 Resistance or a lack of acceptance of the circumstances around change. Change has been happening for millions of years. Ever wonder why entire groups have disappeared? The Mayans, dinosaurs, and so many other significant large groups of people or animals have just - gone? Well, I’ve studied a lot of this stuff and one of the common denominators is their stupidity and failure to learn and deal with reality. 2 Poor listeners. Simple, I’ve already said it - if you keep talking, you can’t listen. 2 Let their emotions and/or feelings dominate their actions, decisions, or behavior. They will always justify their actions, behaviors, and emotions as legitimate and real, but in reality, they are just great - okay maybe not so great - life actors. 2 How about one more? Very poor learners spend an inordinate amount of time searching technology sources for stuff they need to support their personality. Generally, you will find many of them focused on their phones, computers, or tablets. They are always looking for ways to justify their values, beliefs, and actions with proof of some behavior they heard or saw given to them by technology - and now AI.
