WorldWide Drilling Resource®

27 NOVEMBER 2026 WorldWide Drilling Resource® In Memoriam Roger August Danielson (1926-2026) The Minnesota Water Well Association is mourning the loss of 100-year-old member Roger August Danielson of Nowthen, on August 7, 2026. He was born on May 20, 1926, in Willmar. After graduating high school, Roger enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in Guam as a Seabee during World War II. Telling stories of his Navy days was a favorite pastime, especially in his later years. In 1952, Roger married the love of his life, Doreen, and joined his father-in-law's well drilling business, Mork Well Company. Together, Roger and Doreen shared 67 wonderful years of marriage, raised four children, made their home, and ran their business in Nowthen. Faith in God was the foundation of Roger’s life and business. He worked tirelessly and served many roles, including as a deacon at Nowthen Alliance Church, and volunteering wherever there was a need. He found great joy in tending his garden, spending time with family, and investing in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In 2018, Roger and Doreen moved into the brand-new Elk River Senior Living, where Roger became known for his warm smile, kind heart, and welcoming new residents. He lost Doreen in 2019. Roger is survived by his children Shelley (Dave), Wendy (Dennis), Ronald (Jacqueline), and Randall (Gloria); 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. The management and staff of WWDR extend their sympathies to Roger’s family and friends. Lest we forget . . . See us at GROUNDWATER WEEK Booth 283 Happy Veterans Day The WWDR offices would like to thank all past, present, and future soldiers for their service. “May we think of freedom not as the right to do as we please, but as the opportunity to do what is right.” ― Peter Marshall
